Atkal koncertējam/We’re playing gigs again

Negaiss, vismaz pagaidām, ir aiz muguras un “Židrūns” ar prieku izmanto pirmās iespējas spēlēt koncertus, satikt klausītājus un dzīvā izpildījumā atskaņot dziesmas un skaņdarbus no 2020.gada albuma “Kovārņu mazbērniem”. Mūsu koncertu listi skati šeit.

Albums izdots / Album released!

Albumu ieskaņoja “Židrūns”: Ritvars Bīders (ģitāra, taustiņi, balss), Ulvis Urtāns (bass), Anrijs Korps (bungas, perkusijas, taustiņi), Klāvs Kalnačs (balss, ģitāra, taustiņi, perkusijas). Albums ierakstīts 2020. gada augustā ierakstu studijā “Hodila Audio”, Valmierā. Ierakstīja Lomiks. Miksēja Lomiks un “Židrūns”. Skaņas pēcapstrādi veica Lomiks studijā “Hodila Audio”. Dizainu veidoja Otto Zitmanis. Albuma ierakstu, miksu, skaņas pēcapstrādes un dizaina veidošanu atbalstīja “Valsts kultūrkapitāla fonds”.

    Album performed by Židrūns: Ritvars Bīders (guitar, keys, vocal), Ulvis Urtāns (bass), Anrijs Korps (drums, percussion, keys), Klāvs Kalnačs (vocals, guitar, keys, percussion). Recorded in August 2020 at “Hodila Audio” in Valmiera, Latvia. Mixed by Lomiks and Židrūns. Mastering by Lomiks at “Hodila Audio”. Album design by Otto Zitmanis. Supported by the Latvian State Culture Capital Foundation.

    And finally, we’re happy we had the chance to play the album live at the release party in Riga, on 30 October. That was about a week before all public events were banned in Latvia. Stay safe and we hope our music will help emotionally endure distancing and illness

    When factories stop, because it’s dangerous to produce,
    When we run through shops, because it’s dangerous
    When dangerous is a stadium pop concert?

    Wasn’t this the time we wanted?
    When it’s futile to release pop bacilli,
    As the listener doesn’t believe, maybe you don’t believe it yourself
    That you always are or want to be positive?

    We produced poison that suffocates something bigger.
    Who has to lose his breath for us to understand it?
    Only losing our breath, we understand, what it means to suffocate,
    Only receiving poison, we get frightened.
